Our research trips to #Niue revolve around underst

Our research trips to #Niue revolve around understanding the interactions between #sharks and #fishers, with a goal of co-designing solutions to help them coexist in a changing climate. One of the components of this work includes tracking the movements of sharks that are caught in the local fishing grounds. Offshore, the fishers are primarily interacting with silky sharks. Here, Io and our ED @jessaddwater are preparing to secure a shark in the water, just along the side of the boat, so it can be tagged, measured and released.
